LDS Wedding Invitations with Temple Sealing Inserts

LDS temple wedding invitations are a little different from typical wedding invitations — and that is exactly why they deserve someone who understands them. A temple sealing carries its own reverence, its own wording, and its own rhythm, and your invitation should reflect all of it: the sealing, the ring ceremony if you are having one, the reception, and the people you love who will celebrate with you.

I am Janet, and I have spent years designing temple sealing invitations for Latter-day Saint couples across Utah and beyond. Whether you need help wording your sealing line, adding a 3" x 3" sealing insert card, or printing your favorite engagement photo on the back, this is your starting point. Below you will find pricing, real wording examples, answers to the questions LDS brides ask most, and links to everything you need to plan a beautiful, affordable temple wedding from the sealing to the last open house.

What LDS Wedding Invitations Cost

Temple weddings carry more printed pieces than most — the invitation, a sealing insert, often a luncheon or ring ceremony card, and open house details. Here is what that actually costs, with the sealing insert included rather than billed as an extra.

Quantity Single-Sided Double-Sided (photo back)
50$130 / $2.60 ea$190 / $3.80 ea
100$160 / $1.60 ea$220 / $2.20 ea
200$190 / $0.95 ea$260 / $1.30 ea
300$220 / $0.73 ea$300 / $1.00 ea
500$280 / $0.56 ea$380 / $0.76 ea

Quantities run from 25 to 1,000 — the full list is on our pricing page. Paper upgrades, cream envelopes, guest addressing, and larger photo inserts are available as add-ons.

Affordable LDS wedding invitations, honestly priced. The Knot's 2026 Real Weddings Study puts the US average spend on wedding invitations at $220 and a full stationery suite at $510. A hundred double-sided temple invitations here — photo back, sealing insert, and envelopes included — is $220 all in. At 1,000 the cost drops to $0.48 per invitation.
Sealing Insert Wording

LDS Wedding Invitation Wording — Real Examples

The hardest part of an LDS invitation is usually the sealing line: how do you invite temple-worthy guests to the sealing without making everyone else feel left out? These are wording patterns we print constantly. Take any of them and we'll adapt it to your family.

The Sealing Insert Card

This is the small card that goes to guests attending the temple. It's printed separately so the main invitation stays warm and inclusive for everyone on your list.

Two Things That Make Temple Wedding Planning Easier

The Free LDS Wedding Invitation Wording Guide

Wording a temple sealing invitation can feel intimidating — you want it to be clear, warm, and reverent without sounding harsh or overly formal. So I put together a free guide with 60+ examples in three voices (formal, modern, and warm), covering sealing inserts, ring ceremonies, receptions, and open houses. It's completely free and pairs with everything above.

The LDS Wedding Planner Spreadsheet

A temple wedding is really several events stitched together — the sealing, a luncheon, sometimes a ring ceremony, one or two open houses, and a reception. Keeping the budget, guest lists, and timeline straight across all of it is a lot. That's why I built a planner with 29 organized tabs designed around the Latter-day Saint wedding journey, including temple sealing, ring ceremony, open houses, reception, sealing inserts, and a day-of timeline that accounts for travel between events. No generic wedding spreadsheet is built this way.

For couples ordering invitations: your planner purchase applies as a credit toward printed invitations at MCC — including custom temple sealing insert cards at no extra cost.
LDS Bride Questions

Questions Latter-day Saint Couples Ask

Do you charge extra for the temple sealing insert card?

No. Insert cards are part of the package price — up to 250 of them, with as many as three different designs. So your sealing insert, a luncheon card, and a reception card can all be included without changing what you pay.

That matters more for temple weddings than for most, because an LDS invitation set almost always needs at least two pieces. Printers who charge per insert quietly make LDS invitations the most expensive kind to order.

How do I word the sealing without excluding guests who can't attend?

Print the sealing details on a separate small insert and include it only in the envelopes going to guests who can attend the temple. The main invitation then carries the reception or open house details and goes to everyone.

This is the standard approach and it solves the problem cleanly — nobody receives an invitation to something they can't attend, and nobody is left wondering whether they were forgotten. We'll help you sort your list into the two versions.

What size are your temple sealing insert cards?

Our included insert cards run up to 3.5" x 3.5", which fits sealing details, a ring ceremony note, or luncheon information comfortably. Many couples use the 3" x 3" size for the sealing insert specifically. Larger inserts are $0.15 each and 4" x 6" photo inserts are $0.20 each if you want more room. After the wedding, thank-you postcards can match your invitation.

Can you print my LDS invitation if I designed it in Canva?

Yes, and you get 10% off because the design work is done. Before printing, a real person checks your file for resolution, trim size, bleed, and margins, and tells you what needs fixing — free, and before you pay anything.

We print Corjl and Templett files from Etsy templates the same way, at the same price. Full details on our Canva invitation printing page.

Can I see a printed sample before ordering?

Yes. We'll print sample cards so you can see and feel the stock before committing to the full run, including more than one paper if you're deciding between matte, gloss, linen, and pearl linen. Just ask when you send your details. It doesn't obligate you to order.

When should LDS wedding invitations be sent?

Four to six weeks before the wedding is typical, and six to eight if a good share of your guest list is travelling or serving away from home. Because a temple wedding often involves a sealing, a luncheon, and an evening reception, guests appreciate the extra lead time to plan around all of it.

Working backward: allow about one business day for your proof, about two more for printing, plus addressing and mailing time. Most couples order six to eight weeks before they intend to mail. If you're tighter than that, call or text — fast turnaround is what our reviews mention most.

Do you print for temples outside Utah?

Yes. We design for any temple and ship to all 48 contiguous states for a flat $10. Everything is handled by email, phone, or text, so it makes no difference where you're being sealed. Local pickup in Mapleton is available for Utah County couples.
